Pilgrimage of Trust to Kolkatta
It was an international pilgrimage to the City of Joy that was the backdrop of the first meeting of the Ad Hoc Committee of the MGOCSM Diaspora Secretariat. The pilgrimage was organised by Brothers from the Taize monastic community in France from the 5th to 9th of October 2006. The participants were young people between the age group 18 to 30 with accommodation being provided at various schools and parishes across the city.
The daily programme consisted of prayer and sharing, in the morning organised by the various host parishes and in the afternoon at a central campus, Don Bosco School, Park Circus.
The programme was marked by the values of Trust, Peace and Hope through the meditations led by Br. Alois the Superior of the Taize Community, followed up with group discussions. Ofcourse the mainstay of the programme was the various short songs that were taught and again and again repeated, helping the participants to focus in their communication with the Almighty.
